Types of glass used in insulating glass packages
LamiGlass®/ SGG PLANITHERM XN
it comprises two or more glass panes bonded together using transparent PVB layers. By combining different variations in glass thickness and the number of interlayers, different levels of performance can be achieved, ranging from safety and security to ballistics and explosion-proof. The PVB interlayer absorbs up to 99.5% of UV light, helping to reduce fading and ageing in furniture and artwork. LamiGlass® can also be combined with coated products and ClimaGuard® to add solar control and thermal insulation. LamiGlass® is used in many applications including curtain walls, facades, windows, overhead windows, partition walls, railings, flooring, doors, furniture, aquariums, art galleries and museums.
Moreover, PVB diminishes the fading effect of ultraviolet radiation on furniture and decorations.
